ShortsWave subscription help

Shortwave cannot access ShortsWave accounts, but we can help you find the right place to stop future charges and ask the company that billed you for a refund.

First step

Stop the next renewal

Open ShortsWave and look under Profile, Settings, or Subscription for a manage or cancel option. ShortsWave's own terms say an auto-renewing subscription can be canceled in the app or through the application platform account. If the app sends you to Apple or Google Play, finish the cancellation there.

Deleting the app or your ShortsWave account does not cancel the subscription.

Find the billing route

A statement may list only ShortsWave. Use receipts, purchase history, and the merchant descriptor to identify the billing route.

Check Apple purchase history

Search your email for receipt from Apple, or search Apple purchase history by the charge amount. Apple notes that purchases can be grouped, so the bank statement may not name ShortsWave.

Look for a Google Play receipt

Google Play order emails include an order number beginning with GPA. A card statement may include a descriptor such as GOOGLE*SHORTSWAVE.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

Use these steps when the subscription appears on an Apple receipt.

    Open Settings

    Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

    Open your Apple Account

    Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.

  3. 03

    Choose ShortsWave

    Look for ShortsWave: Watch Drama Series. If it is not listed, check whether you used another Apple Account.

  4. 04

    Cancel the subscription

    Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts. If there is no cancel button or you see an expiration date, Apple says the subscription is already canceled.

Cancel on Google Play

Use these steps when the subscription appears on a Google Play receipt.

    Open Google Play subscriptions

    Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then choose Payments & subscriptions and Subscriptions.

    Choose ShortsWave

    Look for ShortsWave: Watch Drama Series. Make sure you are signed in to the Google Account used for the purchase.

  3. 03

    Cancel the subscription

    Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

Request a refund

Canceling stops renewal. A refund is a separate request, and eligibility depends on the billing platform, timing, location, and circumstances.

Sign in with the Apple Account that was charged, choose Request a refund, select a reason, and submit the ShortsWave purchase.

Review Google Play's refund policy, then use its refund flow or contact the app developer. Google notes that eligibility varies by purchase, timing, payment method, and region.

Handle a direct or unclear card charge

If you cannot find an Apple or Google receipt, use the merchant details on your statement to decide what to do next.

Cancel first, then escalate if needed

Check the subscription settings inside ShortsWave and send the developer a written cancellation request. Save screenshots and confirmation messages. If you cannot stop the renewal or ShortsWave charges continue after cancellation, contact your card issuer using the number on the back of your card or the bank's official app.

Never send a full card number, password, or verification code by email.

Save copies of your messages and confirmations. These official resources can help you document the issue or find current developer information.

Send a written request

As of June 17, 2026, the official ShortsWave website lists shortswave_feedback@outlook.com, while the Google Play listing names luyimiao40@gmail.com as the support email for developer HALOFUN PTE. LTD. Include the ShortsWave account email, relevant charge dates and amounts, and a clear request to cancel and refund. Do not include payment card details.

Does deleting the ShortsWave app cancel the subscription?
No. ShortsWave's own terms explicitly say deleting the app or account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel inside ShortsWave if that option is available, or use the Apple or Google Play subscription settings for the account that was charged.
What if ShortsWave is not in my subscriptions?
Search your email for an Apple or Google Play receipt and check every Apple or Google account you use. If neither platform shows the purchase, check the subscription settings inside ShortsWave and the merchant name on your card statement.
Can Shortwave cancel ShortsWave or issue a refund?
No. Shortwave and ShortsWave are unaffiliated companies. We cannot access their accounts, cancel their subscriptions, or issue refunds on their behalf.
What information should I save?
Keep receipts, dates and amounts of charges, cancellation confirmations, and any messages exchanged with the developer or billing platform. Avoid posting account numbers or other sensitive information publicly.
What if I am outside the United States?
Apple and Google publish region-specific refund rules. Start with the billing platform, then contact your local consumer protection agency or card issuer if you still need help.
